I don't know then (sorry). However, you can switch gui logons long enough to get to it from the change password button on the XP logon. If you want to get to the Windows GUI logon to do this at startup, change the following registry key (it determines which logon folder · Expand all · Collapse allis used at startup):


[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon]

"GinaDLL"="NWGINA.DLL"

NWGINA.DLL = Netware
MSGINA.DLL = Microsoft

Remember to set it back afterwards. I've done this numerous times when I wanted the Windows logon screen instead of Novell's for various reasons.

Also, You may have to add the following registry key for Novell gui to not popup:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Novell\Network Provider\Initial Login
All of the keys except "Initial Login" should already exist

Add a new String Value :
Login When NWGina Not Loaded

Make the Value Data :
no



By the way, I posted this issue on Novells Client Support Forum, but I doubt if any techs will see it until Monday. I'll let you know if I get any reliable answers. In the meantime, I Hope this helps,

I've tried resetting Explorer View options, and nothing seems to give me what you and the help file describe! < s > (I also don't use the "Classic View", and only switched to Silver vs. the default blue in the Color Scheme of the Display Properties.) Note: I have both administrator access locally and on the Novell server, and tried in multiple settings in both local only and Novell logins.
