>Since the subject comes up, out of curiosity, where do your law studies stand? Are you still in law school, studying for the bar, already licensed, or what?
>

24 months from now, I will be taking the bar. However, I will be getting my feet wet much sooner with the clinical programs my law school offers. Once you pass the MPRE (Multistate Professional Responsibility) Exam, you can begin to work under attorneys on real cases. The cases range from domestice violence to bankruptcy. Rutgers, being in an urban area, has a civil practice clinic that helps local folks get access to legal resources they would otherwise not be able to afford.

It is hard to believe that 2 years has already gone by since I started this thing. It is also hard to believe that I still have 2 years to go. Although, that time will go quickly. The DOJ is looking for attorneys that have strong technical skills (I am sure this will draw an interesting comment or two from the peanut gallery...) but I may sign up for a year or two. The anti-trust division of the DOJ has a philadelphia office. We shall see....

After two years, I have about a B+ average. I made moot court and am doing that this year. Thought about law review, but decided to wait until my last year. That takes about 10 hours a week and I thought that moot court would provide more writing experience, which is what lawyers spend a lot of their time doing...
