It looks like Sql Server Security is set to Windows Authentication and 'sa' isn't valid WIndows user. You can switch security to the Mixed Mode authentication. In Mixed Mode users can connect to the SQL Server using SQL Server Authentication or Windows Authentication. You can change authentication mode by tight click on the Sql Server in the EM, select Properties and click Security tab.
