I agree, "starting from what you know and building from that" is an appealing proposition- as recognised by universities, med schools and advanced tertiary institutes all over the world.
As you say, in offering this proposition, Kevin also distinguishes himself from the galaxy of other dotNET training offerings who bombard us daily.
Seems like a win-win to me. Which is why I'll try to attend.
BTW I was in Holland and Grand Rapids for some weeks until the end of June. IMHO Michigan is a lovely state, especially "Silver Lake" where I spent some very pleasant afternoons.
