Does anyone know how to simulate this error and whether it is just related to low-level file processing ( fopen/fread/fwrite... ; not table ) ?

"You have attempted to read from, or write to, a file that is not currently open."

One of my users claims it for the statement like this

USE DATA\acn ORDER CODE EXCL IN 0
