There are a couple of things you can do. First, you can go in to Word, Tool,Options,Print and turn off background printing. The other thing is to test the value of Word's application.backgroundPrintingStatus (from inside your VisDocs program) which will tell you how many jobs are queued to print. If there are more than zero, you can take appropriate action in your program. Take a look at the following link which should help you :-
