Elmer,

For display, try with Grid.Column(?).ControlSource
ctod(substr(table.c_date,5,2)+'/'+substr(table.c_date,7,2)+'/'+substr(table.c_date,1,4))
>I have several tables in which dates are stored in character fields in YYYYMMDD format. Is there any way to display or allow input in a grid using these fields as the controlsource for a column, but display in MM/DD/YYYY date format?

But when I place this control in a grid column, set it as the current control, Sparse = .f. it displays the same date for each row in the table. Any ideas?
