I am adding icons to the menu of our VFP7 app, I can either use the VFP7 Resource icons these are the ones that VFP displays in it's own menu, or I can use an icon file. VFP7 comes with some icon files located in the graphics folder which, is in the VFP7 folder. The resource icons look fine in the application, but when I use any other icons the background of the icon displays the same colour as the background of our application (blue). I thought I had found a fix by changing the icon background to RGB(212,208,200) using an icon program, this worked fine until we tried the application on a Windows XP machine. The menu on this machine was a lighter colour then (212,208,200) so now you can see a grey background on the icons I edited. The resource icons look fine.

How do I get the background colour of the icons to display the same colour as the menu?

We set the background of our application using _Screen.Backcolor = 8388608.

This is driving me round the bend.
