But the dictionary definition uses the plural of religion. I asked you to show how the gov't is sponsoring/mandating a specific religion through the phrase "Under God".

Smarter people than you (a lot smarter) have tried and failed. The fact is, you can make a lot of arguments why the phrase "Under God" should be excised from the pledge. A constitutional argument does not happen to be one of them.
