-CC:\MYAPP\MYAPP.FPW

I have done the basics and put SCREEN OFF in the config.fpw but unfortunately for me my program is started by an OCX which has its default directory/start directory as the 'Window system' directory and under some versions of windows wants to use the config.fpw in that directory instead of my startup directory and so the I get a "VFP main window flash" before I can get to it with _screen.visible=.f..
