I agree. Your project does sound like an excellent fit for VFP.

Sounds familiar. Do you ever read Bob Lewis' column in Infoworld where he has his "ManagementSpeak" / "Translation" vignettes?

It's nice to be able to pick up a complete development system for about $400 and build powerful, distributable, royalty-free apps, no?

I have run into this problem a lot. Sometimes, even proof of performance won't sway the bureaucrats of business. Sounds like your company is reasonably open-minded.
