I use the _TALLY to store the number of records available in the table when using the tag. Mainly for updating a thermometer bar when processing the table, sometimes for showing the number of unique results. My workaround is to do a "COUNT TO x" after the INDEX command, but this takes more time.

>I suggest not to use this kind of index. It is kept only for backwards-compatibility, and as far as I know, there is no practical use for it. But perhaps you should explain what you need it for.
