This reminds me of a situation that ocurred when I was a government employee (you remember those funny folks I worked for up until just over a year ago, right John? :o). We had many lans and a large MAN connected to the govt WAN. Our managers were accustomed to hearing 'lan' whenever we spoke of their specific network. When we added the webservers and were filtering access to specific websites based on those 'lan' networks, the term became 'intranet' of course. The managers thought they had another physical network they received for free because it was a different name! :o) When we informed them it was still basically their same 'lan' only accessed via browsers, they were actually dissappointed!
