>For distribution control purposes, I'm looking for a number that uniquely identifies a network or server. Our clients are generally running our system off of a server from unlimited workstations. I don't care about the workstations, but I want to be able to detect if the system is copied to another server. I've tried using the VolumeSerialNumber and HD size, but on a Novell network this either doesn't work or returns different values from different workstations. Any suggestions?

What about the server's name? On a given network each server name must be unique; and while in theory the names could be changed, in practice they never are.
