>Is it a codification of what the Fed Gov't recognizes as the pledge? Yes?

And does that mean, that the government declares that the US is one nation under God?

And does that mean that the US Government has declared that the US is one nation under the principal object of faith and worship in monotheistic religions?

>Turning that into the gov't sponsoring a religion, that is another issue and a point you failed to make.

Like I said before, I am taking my argument in little steps. This is because we have been disagreeing in the larger sense of this issue. This is teh fourth time I have said that, please give the process of reason the respect it deserves.

>Actually, the dictionary defintion of religion does not specifially mention the word God.

No, but it does not take many logical derivations to end up there.

God:
A being conceived as the perfect, omnipotent, omniscient originator and ruler of the universe

The creator of a natural world must be outside of the natural world, therefor supernatural.

Religion:
Belief in and reverence for a supernatural power

Therefore, a belief in God is a belief in a supernatural power, which is the defintion of religion.

>One can argue that Atheism is a relgion devoted to the disbelief there is a God.

Actually, by defintion, the disbelief in God is not a religion.

>We, at least I am done here... As always you are entitled to your opinion, no matter how illogically formed it may be...

If thats what you want, fine. The premanant record at the UT is all the consolation I need.
