Umm, I don't think we're supposed to be doing that sort of thing, so they didn't build in a way to do it in simple code, probably. That would be a hacker's paradise, making their virus rollouts much easier than they already are.

But what you can do more legitimately is create a local mail account with the name you want, login to it and then you can use that for the "From", the mail will come from that account. Depends on how your mail client and server work, but it should not be difficult.
