>>For some reason, I've got someone who wants an on-line backup process from the menu rather than letting the net admin do it. Anyway, the process seems to work fine except that I cannot seem to get the DBC to copy. In a wait statement, it shows being copied but at the end of the process, I get a "File in use" error message and find that the DBC never did copy. I've made sure that the database is closed and all the tables are closed but I continue to get "File in use". I'm not sure how to get the DBC to copy. Any suggestions?

This is to do an on-line backup whenever someone decides to so it would be done at whatever interval they decide. I'll try the SQL code but somehow I think that it'll work like trying to copy a VCX file that is "in use".
