We often see here reports of lost records and corrupt indexes and it seems to me that the majority of these turn out to be in Win9x peer-to-peer networks.

Ed Rauh has a good message here outlining the 'limitations' for Win2K peer-to-peer but I haven't seen anything for other Win platforms, especially Win98 or WinME or WinXP nor for various combinations of them (including Win2K in such mixes).

I just spent 2+ hours searching with GoogleMS to look for such limits, but came up dry. The best I could find was some opinions that such setups are fine for documents but most unwise for 'databases'. Of course my search skills are next to nil.

I'm hoping that someone can come up with something(s) that tells us what limitations there are and put the link(s) here for all to find. I think it would be most helpful to many here.

cheers
