>i presently use vfp6 and am at a crossroads that i need help in navigating. i registered vfp6 with MS when i got it. i have been using it on the same machine ever since. as a result of flood damage a year or so back and moving house i lost quite a lot of stuff including, unfortunately, my vfp disks amongst a ton of others. the box i use it on has eventually had a HDD crash. i have backups of all the stuff i have worked on, so that isn't a problem. the problem is that i need to install on a new box and at the same time i would like to upgrade to vfp7. i don't want to have ot go to the expense of having to buy a full new version of vfp, so what would you suggest i do? can i buy replacement disks from MS for vfp6....?
At our retailer, they offer 'disk kits'. You'll only receive the CD with no license. If you still have the license of your old VFP6, you can buy this disk kit, and then the upgrade to VFP7. That would be a legal solution.
