Are you running on Windows XP? The disappearing mouse problem could be related to a Windows XP feature in textboxes. Go to your start menu,
choose "Run...", and you'll see the same behavior. The idea is you don't
want the mouse cursor obscuring what you're typing.
>Thanks for the response Cathi. You are right, everthing works ok if I use a different key. What I am doing is creating a custom control. The user will enter text into a combo box and then press the enter key. When the enter key is pressed a SQL is queried for results which are in turn, placed into the combo box. This is why I wanted to use the enter key, but I could probably use a different key. I also have another question. Does the mouse pointer ever disappear on you? When I press the key that does the search, my mouse disappears and will not reappear until the mouse is clicked. Has this ever happened to you? Thanks again for your help.
