Not to totally shift the subject, but you would prefer that human beings are ignorant to the fact that they have the ability to destroy the earth at any given moment?

I almost posted in response to Thomas's "One of the reasons I did not reenlist in the Air Force was I could not handle all the information I had to work with" saying that:

if you don't accept responsibilty for that fact, if you don't put your ass on line to avoid total destruction of everything that we've accomplished... who will? God? I'd rather do something myself before waiting for him.
