InstallShield 3.54 has the ability to create installs on the Web. Have you heard of Windows Update? InstallShield has a similar service which can check the WEB for UPDATES that have been posted.

a. Data on a server and EXE on the same server would require a single update for all 100 users. They would need to be off the system for it to be updated.

b. Data on a server and EXE on separate workstations. One Update would need to make the required modifications to the data files. 99 Updates would need to be performed on each of the workstations. With the autoupdate, each of the 99 workstations would be notified when it becomes available.
