I have searched for the answer to this in your archives, to no avail...
I had PowerBuilder and the Watcom ODBC drivers installed when I installed VFP; apparently, MS uses an install method that checks for the presence of an ODBC driver, and does not install its own if one is found. Of course, the PB drivers are a little brain-dead when it comes to FoxPro, so I want the MS drivers.
I did the PB uninstall (Win 95), deleted any file that started with "ODBC", and searched all of my INI files for any reference to ODBC and deleted the reference. Restarted the PC, re-installed VFP - still no ODBC drivers. Uninstalled VFP, deleted it, tried again, nothing.
Anyone run into this in a multi-language development environment, and know any way to force VFP to install the drivers?
I can force the CONTROL.INI to read the VFP drivers, and execute ODBCADM, but when I try to install new drivers, it complains that it can't find ODBC.INF, which is nowhere on my hard drive.
TIA.
