I would have thought I could figure this out easily, but have wound up pulling my hair out the entire day.

I created an ImageList in a Winform, and am trying to reference individual images in a set of items in a collection. When I try to select an image from the ImageIndex, I get a .NET error...

"Specified cast is not valid"

Again, this is when I try to get the imageindex for an item at design-time.

The ImageIndex is just a set of BMP files.
