Upon further investigation, I have a little more information about this situation. It seems that my new header/footer text is not affecting the previous header/footer. However, the text in the previous header/footer is remaining in the new header/footer and the text I am INSERTING is simply adding to that text. I wish the text from the previous header/footer to be erased, allowing me to begin fresh with inserting text.
