Hi all,

i'm looking for people who have had any experience with the dutch financial suite called Excellent (by Grote Beer/Exact). It was taken off the market for being unstable and slow, and we're still trying to get it to work as long as we don't have an alternative. It's written in fox (so it doesn't need to be slow), that's why i'm looking here. The product is used over a network, and gets really slow when working with a 25000 client base. What we see is that the clientside installation loads complete tables from the central application server, which can be as big as 80MB (per table). Shouldn't fox just retrieve the indexes? I'd sure be grateful if somebody could give me a hint as to how to improve on the speed of this 'software from hell'!
