What I have said has often been mis-construted and deliberately mis-characterized to suit the arguments of others. There is nothing I can do about that except to have faith that people like you see the truth through the rhetoric.

>Steve and Mike have both stated your “demand” that developers move to .NET NOW! I have not heard such dialogue from you rather what I have heard is your advice and suggestions to broaden our skill sets. To me your message is loud, clear and one that strikes me as productive. To others it seems to take on a different meaning.

>>You on the other hand are spewing "Move to .NET NOW". How can you justify that when you don't know when .NET will even gain mass adoption?

>>I justify that people learn and plan thier migration to .NET today. I justify it on the basis that this is where MS efforts on RD are focused. Further, while I don't have a crystal ball that can pinpoint exactly when "mass adoption" will occur, adoption IS occuring today. There are opportunities and as time goes by, there will be more opportunities in .NET than Fox. That may actually be true today, but I cannot quantify that at this specific time.
>>
>>I suppose I could broaden my statement that Fox developers need to learn and begin the process of adopting SOMETHING ELSE today. If it is Java, .NET, SQL Server, Oracle, or whatever, it is a positive move. It is certainly better than staying put.
>>
>>It is a bet, but a good bet IMO.
