I think you will find that shops are adopting .NET and further, there is demand for .NET talent (which does exist today).

Now we are very cautious... I remember the day way back 1995 when my boss gave me the upperhand to choose which development tool we'll use in developing windows apps - Delphi or VFP3? I have chosen VFP hoping that the trend will change but 5 years after I was disappointed. Today, you can almost do everything in Delphi which are just new in .NET tools. In addition, there is the Linux version Kylix and Borland will be releasing soon .Net version. Delphi developers need not learn another language in order for them to be at pace with the technology which can not be for VFP developers.

Hoping we will not be disappointed this time with C#...
