There are lots of threads here to look at re: TS and/or Citrix. I seem to recall at least one Terminal Server hotfix for file read errors.
Have you and this other customer ever copied data files to one another? If so it might be a subtle corruption problem. At one client I once had to create brand new tables in a temporary folder, APPEND to the new tables from the production ones, then replace the production tables with the new ones to get a nagging problem similar to this to go away.
