While the UT decided to "mis behave" I had this thought that our beloved UT should be mentioned as a part of the thread "Most Software Stinks". :)

Several people including myself have mentioned that modifing a live system is cause for concern. That has always gotten a rise out of Michel. Where is SQA for the UT? Who needs SQA when you have a change to make? Just one little change. The word "test environment" comes to mind. No let the clients test and then wait.

I worked for a company that had that exact attitude - let the clients find the anomolies and report them. That company is out of business. Many software and hardware companies are shipping to customers and not doing any QC. That is a nice way to destroy your reputation in my book. I understand a major company is shipping hardware/software without testing. Why test when you are perfect or is that you do not care?
