I didn't see a launch, but the shuttle was on the pad. A few years ago, the shuttle stopped here in Utah on its way from California to KSC. You've probably seen pictures of it mounted on a 747. It was very cool.
>This reminds me. My family went to Disney World three years ago and on the way we stopped at Kennedy Space Center. We ended up staying an extra day at Kennedy and it was the best part of our trip for all concerned, even my daughter who was 8 at the time. Due to weather we missed a launch by one day! It ended up taking off while we were at Disney World.
