I am still trying to figure out how the rights work for my web service. I have a simple web service setup to write a file using fopen and fputs which works wonderfully. However, I added code to open a dbf file (in the same directory as I'm writing the low level files) and insert a record. Using both an SQL select and append blank generates an error "cannot update cursor" within the web service. I assume there is a rights problem, but am concerned about security as I don't want to give an internet user account write rights to my company directory.
Any thoughts on a solution to this situation?
