I've been developing under various flavors of WinXP since the Beta was made available to MSDN subscribers a year and a half ago. I find that I have fewer crashes than with Win98 or W2K. As Rick said, all of my installs were clean - not upgrades, and I have good hardware and no "unusual" devices to deal with. I spent a lot of learning time in the WinXP newsgroups and most of the problems had to do with upgrade installs, unusual hardware with driver problems, and older, slower computers.
