FTP (file transfer Protocal) There are many different frontends to FTP - its sort of like xmodem for the internet.
in windows the cmd prompt has ftp services just type from the start-run command ftp

Internet explorer has a ftp utility built right in.
type in your browser ftp://servername.
like this for my server.
ftp://joe:joe@qube.1amsoftware.com/ joe is the user and joe is the password.
