Rockwell is the chipset on the adapter card; not the modem manufacturer/model name. What kind of Compaq do you have? Is it a Presario or a Deskpro? Compaq usually affixes a tag containing the make/model # and the serial number right below that. If the modem you have was part of a package from Compaq that you should be able to just go to the download drivers section and select your make and model. If it is not a standard Compaq package then you'll have to examine your modem card itaelf and try to locate other information to track down the make/model.
