I am having this problem with 7.0 and NOT 6.0. Very curious indeed! I have set step on and can see that the form just does'nt stop at Go or collect $200 or anything. I have a system with 2 modal forms and niether one maintains it's modality. The first one is a Login type form... very simple very stupid. Both forms are based upon the same class and if I create a form from:
lo = create('cModalForm')
lo.show(1)
all is good. However when the same thing occurs in the APP modality goes out the Window (so to speak). I do not think this is happening in runtime however.

>>>I think Chris's experience is the exception rather than the rule. I've been developing almost daily with both VFP 6.0 SP5 and VFP 7.0 on XP Pro since last October and haven't had any problems (at least that I didn't cause < g >). In fact because of my good experience, the other 10 programmers in our development staff will shortly be migrating from NT 4.0 SP6a to XP Pro! Note: Mine was a complete install, and not an "upgrade" - some have reported problems with upgraded systems.
