Nancy has told you how to do what you want, let me give a little why to it. VFP allows the addition of properties and methods to the outer most container in its designers. That is in teh form designer and in the class designer. If you are designing a single form with the fomr designer you can add props and meths to the form but not to any of the objects contained in the form. If you are designing a formset, then the limitation is to the formset and not to any of the forms or the objects in those forms.

The same is true for the class designer, you can only add props and meths to the outer most container for the class.
