I have to admit that I lost most of the patches and support packs also the same way. I upgraded to Windows 2000 and couldn't use the same drivers. However, most of the windows 2000 drivers are available from the support site if COMPAQ wants to support that Presario model for W2k. Some they don't. Also, we have cablemodem at home so the modem in my daughter's pc basically goes unused now. I had to load the drivers for testing purpose only and dialup to work to test it since I don't use an ISP for dialup anylonger.

>>Almost all of the Compaq Presario Desktops came with a Presario PC-Tel Platinum Connect HSP56 Micromodem. It is really a Rockwell HCF chip though. You can try the below link:

>Thanks, the 14941 looks quite possible - it's just about the right date for me. I'll try it tonight. This modem patch was very easy to find when it was new, my Compaq Service Connection just provided it, easy as pie. Now it's just another old patch from 2 years ago no one cares about, not so easy to find, relegated back to the old archives.
