Try getting homeowners insurance on a mobile home east of I95 in NC or SC! Since the hurricanes' floods, it almost can't be done. No one even wants the risk.

It is interesting to note the car insurance (the same policy and company) costs about twice as much in Los Angeles as it does in the San Francisco Bay Area. That really got my attention! That was true 8 years ago and is true today as I checked with AAA and State Farm on both occasions.
