Can I persuade you tell me with version of the MySQL ODBC driver you used and what in particular the OPTION=131609 is turning off or on.

I am currently using MyODBC 2.5 version that is touted ad the stable release version but all the documentation I am able to find applies to 3.51. Version 3.51 is touted as a development version.
