I particularly enjoyed the "Network bridge" that seemed determined to invade WinXP. A nice little icon appeared on the taskbar intermittently announcing that "a network cable is unplugged". What network cable? It is wireless and the wireless is working fine. Eventually I managed to make the dreaded Bridge go away though I'm sure it'll get its revenge before long.

What fun.

"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us.
