Just found out why!

Apperently MySQL doesn't support table buffering. Even though the remote views were defined as buffering type 5 (Optomistic Table buffering). at run time it ends up being 3 (Optomistic Ros Buffering)

Bummer, At least now I know why and can deal with the issue though.
