If you think VFP is dead then why do you spend so much time in the Universal Thread?

You keep saying everyone should learn .Net this is a great idea, except having to pay several hundred pound for some software which at present we don't need is ok, if you have plenty of money. If VFP died tomorrow our application would still work, and we would continue to use VFP while leaning a new program like .Net but this may be some time away, by which time .Net may have changed so much that we would have to relearn it anyway.

The other factor is time, we are working full time already developing VFP applications and upgrading old applications, to learn .Net we would have to reduce out time programming in VFP, which seem daft when we don't need to use .Net.

.Net is a relatively new product which will mature over the coming years. We always wait for a least one service pack to be released for VFP before upgrading to a new version, so jumping into such a new product like .Net seen risky.

All our application work, and as my mother always says if it any broke don't fix it.
