Well, there is always the possibility that there is a problem with APPEND/IMPORT FROM XLS (also, XL8), but we are unlikely go anywhere with that. As a result, I am focusing my attention on the DLL.

The DLL is nothing more than a wrapper to use the Indy 8/9 TIdHTTP class to POST data to a server. The function is very short (50 lines of code). It appears to be bug free, but I have posted it to a Borland newsgroup for peer review. The only classes used are TIdHTTP, TMemoryStream, and AnsiString.

Well, your post at least limits (if not entirely precludes) the possibility of the problem being in the packages or the runtime file.

Thanks for the feedback...

>We used Borland Delphi DLLS (first version 5 and now version 6) for communications and other functions in our VFP7 apps. We have never experienced this problem. What specifically does the DLL do? Obviously you've ruled everthing else out so you know the DLL is creating the problem?
