>I think the most cost-effective way would be to start with The Fundamentals: Building Visual Studio Applications on a Visual FoxPro Foundation at hentzenwerke, then think about going to the GLGDW conference there in November. Although I have not read that book, I read another book by Whil that was very good. I have gone to two previous GLGDWs, and it's a great conference. Probably not quite as good as the Advisor Devcons, but almost as good, and when you factor in the price of the conference and the cost of the hotel, it's a great deal.
About the only differences between GLGDW and Advisor DevCons are the price and location. They both feature many of the same high quality speakers and members of the VFP Development Team give keynotes and demos at both. Considering that and the cost of GLGDW is about 1/2 that of Advisor DevCons, I'll take GLGDW anyday.
