Thanks Ken for the update and the tip about SQL Server compatiblity being enhanced in VFP8.

Glenn

>To clarify, I am and will continue to promote VFP as best as possible, and there will be more happening around DevCon and when we release the upcoming Visual FoxPro 8.0 which is a very exciting product. Those few people who have seen VFP 8.0 are pretty amazed, and these are people who have seen VFP evolve since before VFP 3.0. The Steve Ballmer video talking about VFP 7.0 was extremely helpful to both my efforts as well as many VFP developers world wide (as I have been told many times). I asked Steve Ballmer to do this video and he agreed with enthusiasm, or he probably wouldn't have done it.

>Microsoft is not making any attempt to migrate or move VFP developers away from VFP into .NET. But we will promote the usage of VS .NET with VFP since they work very well together and target MSDN Subscriptions to obtain these great developer tools. For those VFP developers who decide or are forced to move away from VFP to VS .NET, we will do some things to assist them since successful developers and customer satisfaction is a high priority.

>Lots of exciting things coming with VFP 8.0 including new and improved support and compatibility with SQL Server, .NET, etc. Everyone should be enthused and stay tuned.
