Dear JVP
>>I don't understand it if data requirements mandate a storage mechanism like Oracle or SQL Server, how you can go to DBF's?<<
Developing in VFP does not force you to move to local tables. If data requirements mandate a storage mechanism like Oracle or SQL Server- something he did not specifically state- then VFP is *still* an excellent front end for development work.
Perhaps if you investigated VFP's C/S ability a bit more rather than just labeling it "lousy" (sic) you would find this as obvious as others do.

"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us."
