No doubt from my side, that you're right with your recommendation not to fetch that big cursors or to use SPT for lookups. That is, what I do myself too.
I stumbled over this RV behaviour while doing some tests. What really bothers me, is that it's not consistant, I mean you see it on one box and on an other that has the same install, it will never happen. That's just that kind of bug you like when you have an install at a clients site. Btw it bites you with smaller cursors as well just not that hard. ;)
MDAC is a point I have to check for, but I think it will also be the same on both machines. They have the same W2K SP2, MSO 2K SP2, VFP7 SP1 and VS.Net installed. Definately DoEvents doesen't help, that I tried already.
I meanwhile sent a bug report to MS, maybe the gurus will find an answer.
