Hi Bob,

I am really impressed with this PDFMaker. I just have a couple of questions from testing this.

1. My report has colors. Will color reports show? I can't get it to show and that is important. (I am using Ghost 7.04). I have to be doing something wrong.

2. Does it auotmatically select the HP 8500 color printer or should I always be adding the line SET PRINTER TO NAME "Generic PostScript Printer"

Regards,

Costas

>> As the company that I'm doing the software for has a large user base I was wondering if you'd thought of incorporating some sort of installer for your solution, e.g automatically installing the PostScript Printer Driver and the GhostScript converter? The company are keen to use your solution and would like to know if it's possible to install the drivers when their application starts up.

>To install the HP Driver without the download, from the control panel select printer, add printer wizard, make it a local printer, select the HP 8500 ps color printer, and you are good to go.
>No further download or actual printer dirver is, is necessary.

>You could also set this printer up on your server, as a shared printer, then install it locally on the users machines.

>As far as a simplier install for Ghostscript, There might be a way to handle this with your own VFP install program, I have not tried that yet.

>I would love to hear about anything which could make this eaiser. I think I did my part, and give the programmer (you) the ability to create pdf's for free... its just the nuts and bolts.. Add on whatever you want... if it comes out good, Ill be glad to post it for all to use.

>I'm going to investigate the possibility of automatically installing the 2 components. I just wanted to check 2 things with you first, 1. Have you already accomplished this?, and 2. If not, then would it be ok if I were to have a go at achieving this and keep you informed on how it's going and share any solution with you?
