Hi Mel.

You are absolutely right. In CM all fits together really nicely. Went through the MM manuals, worked with the samples. OOP is starting to have a body because of these manuals. But after CM I think I was expecting lots of features ready out of the box, but just doesn't seem to be the same. I still think that the problem here is my lack of knowledge, as CM looks easier to understand.

One thing I'd like to ask you, as you tried both, is about the menus, that are created as classes in MM, which makes it easy to show them or not depending on the user's priviledges. And it is really nice to be able to let the user localize the captions, as I will have a system that is going to be used in Brazil and France. I think I could make the menu pads disabled in CM, but could I get rid of them ?

I liked the local/remote switch in MM as well, but I'm almost convinced to go SQL completely, and use MSDE when needed.

It's funny to be starting learning VFP and frameworks now, and read all the discussion is going on here about moving to .NET or something else because Fox is dead. Well, I don't mind it, really. I think VFP will still survive some more years, and it's a wonderfull tool, while the other was just born, and might need some years to mature. By the way, have you heard if Dave will be working on a framework for .NET ? That would be great.

Hope everything is alright over there. Here is cold and rainny.

Best.
Ivan
